One doesn't have to be in Barbour County long before they begin hearing stories from days past. Founding fathers and war heroes, Southern belles and daring heroines, they all left their mark. Some people consider these stories tall tales, fact woven with imagination. Others hear their heels click beneath them on the hardwood as they tour the homes and take in the sights, slipping into nostalgia like you'd slip into a cool stream in mid-July. These visitors can travel back in time and spend a lazy afternoon on the veranda watching the river roll by. To insightful travelers, Eufaula is more than pretty houses with magical allure, to these, Eufaula is indeed legendary!

The Eufaula and Barbour County area is a growing community proud of its past and excited about its future. Barbour County is located in southeast Alabama. The area has everything one could want; a rich history, a strong business industry base, quality education, low crime rates, and beautiful scenery. Residents enjoy all of the conveniences and security of quaint, small town living along with the amenities associated with “city life” only 50 miles away. Also, beautiful Gulf Coast beaches are within an easy drive.

The Eufaula Barbour County Chamber of Commerce, located in Eufaula, is committed to exceptional service. We serve to advance the economic, educational, and cultural development of the area through the creation and preservation of jobs. Our Chamber is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the entire community. We are always ready to assist the visitor and newcomer, and we look forward to seeing you in the near future.
