In January 2011, MidSouth Bank officers and directors braved early morning freezing temperatures for a ground-breaking ceremony. Bank officials expect construction of the new banking facility at 230 South Eufaula Avenue to be completed by mid-October 2011 based on estimates provided by project contractors at Anderson Construction Company. The new building is located on the corner of Highway 431 South and West Barbour Street on the site of the former TNS Mills building. Approximately 1.5 acres of the 3.1 acre lot will be utilized. Designed by Wade, Parrish and Associated of Dothan, the spacious building will contain almost 9,000 square feet with five private offices, a five station teller line, and two customer service areas.  Outside, the bank will feature two drive-through window lanes, a drive-up ATM as well as a drive-up night depository.  As MidSouth Bank approaches its 100th anniversary in 2012, this new facility is imposing evidence of the bank’s commitment to community banking.

Those seen with shovels in hand at the Ground-Breaking ceremony  include: Mid-South Bank director Young Johnston, Judi Mathisen, Alabama District 84 Representative Berry Forte, city councilman Bob Powers, city council chairman Jim Martin, Mayor Jay Jaxon, MidSouth Bank CEO Ronnie Pippin, MidSouth Bank president Pat Riley, Eufaula-Barbour County Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Director Jim Bradley, MidSouth bank director Ben Reeves, Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jack Pelfrey and builder Jerry Anderson.
